Agaves and Yuccas are native succulent plants. Their drought tolerant characteristics make them excellent for dry gardens where water-wise landscapes are favored.Yuccas & Agaves

With a growing demand for water conservation there has been an increased interest in drought tolerant plants. Yuccas, Agaves and desert plants are ideal for this type of landscaping.

What are Yuccas

The Yucca genus belongs to the Agavaceae family. They range from short stemless grasslike plants to towering, branched treelike plants with one to many rosettes. Yuccas generally have smooth linear leaves with a terminal spine. They can have single or multiple trunks. Yuccas bloom repeatedly throughout their lives. They are drought resistant plants and love the full Texas sun.

What are Agaves?

The Agave genus belongs to the Agavaceae family. They are perennial plants that bloom only once during its life. They have large leaves with either sharp marginal teeth or a sharp terminal spine. The leaves are arranged in a spiral along a small, often invisible, stem that forms a rosette. They are drought resistant plants and love the full Texas sun.
